The album cover for MAVE:’s new EP ″What’s My Name″ [METAVERSE ENTERTAINMENT]

Virtual girl group MAVE:’s first EP “What’s My Name” was released in the forms of physical and platform album, its agency Metaverse Entertainment said Tuesday.

Platform album is a new form of album, accessed through apps, where the music is played using QR codes or NFC, a technology that allows for the short-distance transmission of data between devices.

Its content, including audio tracks, videos and photos, is provided through apps, while tangible items like photo cards and lyric sheets are provided physically, making it a disc-less album.

The platform album of “What’s My Name” offers a diverse set of items, including mini cards, selfies, photo cards and stickers.

The physical album includes a photobook, postcards, photo cards, a mirror keyring, a DIY diary with stickers, a boarding pass and a name tag, according to Metaverse Entertainment.

MAVE:’s physical and platform albums were launched on KakaoTalk Gift and have been available since Monday.

EP “What’s My Name” was released Thursday via various music streaming platforms. Its music video attracted nearly 5.6 million viewers three days after its release.

“What’s My Name” is MAVE:’s new release in 10 months since the release of “Pandora’s Box” in January.

MAVE: is a virtual girl group created by Metaverse Entertainment. It consists of four virtual members: MARTY:, TYRA:, ZENA: and SIU:.
