How to get to London Blockchain Conference 2024: CoinGeek’s top travel tips

With the London Blockchain Conference (LBC) 2024 just around the corner, we at CoinGeek wanted to ensure everyone arrives at the venue on time and with zero stress.

The conference takes place May 21-23 at London ExCeL, an enormous events venue just outside of central London. For over a decade, I’ve been attending online gambling industry conferences at the ExCeL and wanted to pass on my travel tips to you, especially those who are outside of London and have never been to the ExCeL.

The London Blockchain Conference will be taking place at ExCeL East in Captial Hall, which is part of the ExCeL’s “ICC.” There are two entrances to ExCeL, East and West, so if you’re taking a taxi or a car to the venue, be sure to let your driver know you’re headed to the East entrance.

A huge tip here is the traffic between Central London and the ExCeL can be heavy and unpredictable at times.

Believe it or not, the fluctuation in journey time could be as severe as 30-45 minutes extra during some periods, so I urge you to plan accordingly.

If you don’t want to take any chances with a car (and save a few pounds while you’re at it), the ExCeL is well connected to Central London via public transport—you can take the DLR or the Elizabeth Line, which is both reliable and keep to their schedules.

If you’re traveling to ExCeL on the DLR, your stop is Prince Regent Station, located at ExCeL’s East entrance. It will take you five minutes to walk to the London Blockchain Conference from there, and you’ll see plenty of signage along the way. If you’re taking the Elizabeth Line, you’ll need to get off at Custom House Station, which is located at ExCeL’s West entrance, a 15-20 minute walk (ladies in heels, beware!) to the conference from there.

Regardless of the entrance you choose, there will be flags directing you to the London Blockchain Conference once you arrive at ExCeL. If you’re ever in doubt, just follow the generic overhead signs to “ExCeL East,” “ICC,” or “Prince Regent Station”—you honestly can’t miss it!

Now that we all know how to get there, I cannot tell you how excited I am for the London Blockchain Conference 2024 and its new home at London ExCeL. It’s going to be an amazing blockchain event all around, and if you have not booked your ticket yet, I encourage you to do it now online. I cannot wait to see you there!
