Dimension, the studio behind Metashima, the revolutionary web3 entertainment experience, today announces the launch of the MAG – its first virtual space to interact with and customise Metashima.

Built entirely in Unreal Engine and integrating blockchain technology, the MAG is a self-sustaining, state-of-the-art facility, and ultra-modern retreat, located on a secluded virtual island.

Metashima officially launched last year with the release of the first 5000 3D digital droids, built on the Ethereum blockchain. Each Metashima is unique, created in ‘The Factory’ (an auto-generative, 3D virtual products system), using 3ds Max, Unreal Engine, and Maya.

Today’s launch focuses on the introduction of three areas to the web3 experience: the MAG island, the vast living space, and the lab. The lab enables 3D rendering in real-time for holders to interact, animate, and customise Metashima –with the ability to add accessories and skin packs.

As future phases launch, the MAG will continue to expand and will become a 3D workshop, Metashima training dojo, base station, and a portal to other metaverse worlds.

Speaking about the new launch Simon Windsor, co-CEO of Dimension Studio and creator of Metashima, says, “Dimension has been exploring the intersection of our physical and virtual worlds for the past decade. Metashima is a continuation of that exploratory work, offering holders the potential to enhance the Metaverse and spatial computing experiences by transcending virtual worlds.

“The first phase of the MAG introduces holders to the futuristic MAG facility and our 3D Metashima configurator, which not only looks gorgeous but expands the exciting possibilities of virtual AI companions.

“As mixed reality technologies become an increasing part of our everyday lives, we see a future where Metashima and other virtual products will co-exist – providing value and enjoyment in various aspects of people’s daily lives, both in the virtual and real world. For example, it could assist with real-world tasks by providing contextual utility, information, location-based games, or even helping by ordering your coffee.

“We are already seeing mixed reality technologies being utilised through digital fashion, with cross-over products launched by brands such as Nike. With Metashima we are offering a new kind of experience – both a companion and a virtual collectible. And because each Metashima is entirely customisable they can even be considered a high tech, fashion accessory themselves.”

Phase one of the MAG can be experienced via a desktop application. The MAG token has been exclusively sent to all Metashima holders before the official launch. Newcomers can experience the MAG by purchasing a token on the secondary market via OpenSea.
